Bio:

Professor Yaoqi Zhou joined Shenzhen Bay Laboratory as a senior Principal Investigator (PI) in March 2021. He earned his bachelor?s degree in Chemical Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1984, followed by a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Stony Brook University in New York State in 1990. His postdoctoral studies took place at North Carolina State University and Harvard University from 1994 to 2000. In 2000, he assumed the role of assistant professor at the University at Buffalo in New York State, achieving tenure as an associate professor in 2004, and subsequently, full professorship at Indiana University’s School of Information and School of Medicine in 2006. From 2013 to 2021, he served as a research leader at the Institute of Glycomics, Griffith University, Australia. Dr. Zhou?s research group is dedicated to unraveling the intricate relationships among protein and RNA sequences, structures, and functions.
